Kevin Costner’s Chaotic Divorce and the Disclosure of His Diet While Filming Yellowstone

Kevin Costner, best known for his role as John Dutton in the popular television series Yellowstone, found solace in savoring comforting delicacies on set.

According to Yellowstone’s director of craft services, Chef Gabriel Guilbeau, Costner occasionally deviates from his diet to indulge in exquisite desserts.

“Kevin always likes to tell me he’s on a diet and off the sugar, and then he’ll ask me to make him an apple pie,” Gabriel revealed in a recent interview with Delish.

“In the same day, usually.” Despite being a somewhat picky eater, the Oscar winner was frequently observed in the makeshift kitchen during filming, seeking to satisfy his sweet tooth.

Gabriel humorously remarked that prior to working together, Costner appeared to sustain primarily on canned chili and hot dogs, highlighting the actor’s evolving taste preferences and propensity for comfort food during difficult times.

According to Chef Gabriel Guilbeau, who also portrays Chef Gator on the show, as Kevin Costner neared the end of his time on the popular series and his 18-year marriage to Christine Baumgartner, he sought consolation in comfort food.

Costner and the ensemble were served classic dishes such as gumbo, étouffée, jambalaya, and barbecue.

Kevin’s predilection for comfort foods coincided with his May announcement that the fifth season of Yellowstone would be his last appearance on the series.
