Kevin Federline, Britney Spears’s Ex-Husband, Wants More Money for Child Support

Kevin Federline, who used to be married to Britney Spears, is said to have asked for a raise in child support before their son Sean Preston’s 18th birthday this week.

A source told TMZ that Kevin, a father of six, said that he “never bargained on having the kids full-time when they hashed out the terms of support.”

But the person said Kevin is “thinking of going to court to ask for changes to his support.”

After Sean’s birthday, it was said that his monthly child support payment would go from $40,000 to $20,000.

The news source also said that if “Kevin asks for an increase” from the pop singer, her court-ordered child support “could go through the roof if he can prove he needs more money to take care of Jayden 100% of the time.”

Sean is not the only child of the pair who broke up. They also have a 17-year-old son named Jayden James.

At this time, TMZ said Jayden’s support “will stay the same until around June 2025, when he graduates from high school.”

DailyMail.com reported earlier this month that Britney was “relieved” to no longer have to pay “tens of thousands of dollars in child support per month.”

A person close to the singer said, “Britney is relieved that Sean is turning 18 on September 14 because she is tired of paying Kevin the insane amount of money he is getting.”

Kevin moved his whole family, including Sean and Jayden, to Hawaii, where the law about child support is a little bit different from California.

In Hawaii, if a child is in college or a vocational school, the adult can get child support until the child turns 23.
