Kickoff time, television for Louisville vs. Kentucky to be announced this weekend


The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Monday that Louisville’s game against Kentucky is on a six-day hold.

The Governors Cup is one of four games that the ACC has on hold. Times and TV designations for those games will be announced after this week’s games.

The games are: Kentucky at Louisville, North Carolina at NC State, and Virginia Tech at Virginia. The Pittsburgh at Duke game will be at noon or 3:30 on the ACC Network.

Louisville is 9-1 on the season after beating Georgia Tech in a league game to open the season 39-34 and then blanking Murray State 56-0 in the home opener before beating Indiana 21-14 and then dispatching Boston College 56-28. The Cardinals then knocked off NC State and Notre Dame before losing to Pittsburgh on Oct. 14. U of L has rebounded from the loss to beat Duke 23-0, Virginia Tech 34-3, and Virginia 31-24  last weekend.

The Cardinals will play their final ACC regular season game on Saturday at Miami at noon.

Kentucky is 6-4 on the season but has lost four of the past five games, including to Alabama 49-21 on Saturday. The Wildcats will play at South Carolina this weekend.

Friday, Nov. 24

  • Miami at Boston College, Noon ET on ABC – previously announced

Saturday, Nov. 25

  • Wake Forest at Syracuse, 2 p.m. ET on The CW Network
  • Florida State at Florida, 7 p.m. ET on ESPN
  • Georgia at Georgia Tech, 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC
  • Clemson at South Carolina, 7:30 p.m. on SEC Network

The following four games will be flexed as six-day determinations:

Saturday, Nov. 25

  • Kentucky at Louisville
  • North Carolina at NC State
  • Virginia Tech at Virginia
  • Pitt at Duke – Noon or 3:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network
