PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A child waiting in the car for her father escaped a robbery on Tuesday evening.

Officers were called out to Southeast Division street around 6 p.m., for a robbery.

When officers arrived on scene they learned a child was sitting in a running car while her father was inside of their home. Three suspects jumped into the car.

There was a struggle, but the child was able to get out of the car and escape, according to Portland Police.

The suspects took off in their car and eventually crashed, running away on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call Portland police.
