Kim Kardashian is once again dressed to the nines for the Met Gala.

The reality star was back on the red carpet Monday for Vogue’s glitzy 2023 event. She wore a corseted Schiaparelli dress with strands of pearls draped over it.

“What is more, Karl? The iconic pearls are what I thought of, so we wanted to be dripping in pearls,” she told Vogue on the red carpet, adding that her daughter North West picked up some of the gems that fell off before they walked up the steps.

But that wasn’t the only help she got from her famous family before the Met Gala. She said that she “took a shot before I came with my sisters.”

“I just wanted to feel glamorous; I really didn’t feel the pressure,” she said about getting dressed for the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”-themed event.

For the event, the Skims mogul swept her brown hair into a sleek updo to go with her pearl-strand-draped outfit.

Kardashian went to her first Met Gala in 2013 with her then-boyfriend Kanye West, with whom she was expecting their first child.

Social media users mocked her dowdy couch-like floral Givenchy gown, and Vogue famously cut her off of their red carpet coverage.

But since then, she has become one of the most-anticipated guests at the annual event, going viral year after year in outfits like a gold chainmail Atelier Versace dress in 2018, a tightly corseted Thierry Mugler mini in 2019, and a black Balenciaga dress that covers her face in 2021.

Most recently, she wore the famous “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress from Marilyn Monroe to the 2022 dinner.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, which leased Kardashian the outfit, claimed that the costume was damaged throughout the evening. However, she received criticism for having lost 16 pounds in just a few weeks in order to fit into the museum piece.

Sources told Page Six that Anna Wintour was thinking about not inviting Kardashian and her famous family to the Met Gala this year. However, it looks like the head of Vogue couldn’t pass up the chance for Kardashian to make headlines again on the red carpet.

Even more in the spirit of the Met Gala, the star went to see Karl Lagerfeld’s favorite cat Choupette last week and posed for a series of photos with the famous cat.

This time, it looks like her daughter North West gave her some support as she got ready for the big night.

Sunday morning, she shared a video of a fancy-looking room that she said her 9-year-old daughter had decorated. This made fans wonder how the little girl did it.
