Kim Kardashian is known for her often over-the-top, eccentric holiday decor. While nothing is likely to ever beat the weirdness of the custom cotton-ball-like “trees” she had on display in her home circa 2019, her current Christmas setup has a different—and strange—tone to it. Apart from her simple, lit trees sans ornaments (sad!) a wide hallway in her home is filled with flocked faux trees. It’s presumably meant to feel like stepping into a magical winter forest, but it misses the mark.
Kim shared a snapshot of the hallway on her Instagram Stories, and it’s giving us flashbacks to the much more off-putting hallway of red trees in Melania Trump’s White House Christmas decor from 2020. On top of that, in our humble opinion, Kim’s winter wonderland hallway is missing a few elements that could make it truly festive. For starters, a soft white rug—that stretches from wall to wall and throughout the hall—could combat the stark feel of the bare, museum-like floor. While it would be nice to see all of the trees lit, we understand if she’s going for a more realistic walk-through-the-woods atmosphere. The tree at the end of the hallway, however, deserves to exist in a bit more light, which could perhaps be done through small spotlights. As it is, the most we can hope for is that Kim’s kids are having fun popping out from behind the trees and surprising anyone who dares to walk down the hall.

North, of course, has a pink-themed tree with mini pink purses, pink ribbon, and pink sparkly butterflies on it.
