The Kiwanis Club of Hailey and the Wood River Valley is launching a “Raise the Roof” fundraiser today to support the second phase of the performing arts stage project at Hop Porter Park.
Organizers estimate the next phase will cost between $200,000 and $250,000, according to a release from the club. This stage of the project includes constructing the roof and support structure, installing lighting and electrical systems and completing the rear wall of the stage.
The club has pledged $10,000 to initiate the campaign and is seeking additional support from the community to meet the remaining fundraising goal. Bob Wiederrick, past president of the club, has built a “thermometer” to mark and track how much funding they have received.
