Winner of the 2023 National Award for Best Actress for Mimi, Kriti Sanon doesn’t need any introduction after receiving the country’s highest award in acting. The actress has many titles under her belt: that of a phenomenal actor, a fitness enthusiast, a beauty entrepreneur, and the most recent national award awardee. But in a recent interview with Vogue India, the actress went past the glitz and glamour her profession has brought her. In the candid conversation, the actress spoke about her relationship with her parents, what she seeks in a partner and how she is building a relationship with her inner self.

“Hopefully, I will also be waking up to sunlight, cuddles from my puppies—and perhaps even someone special”
Kriti confesses to having a desire to wake up to sunlight, cuddles from her puppies, and someone special. She hopes to find someone who is attentive of details of small things in a relationship. “Something as insignificant as carrying a jacket while going to the movies in case I feel cold or thoughtfully ordering food when I come back home after working late can make a relationship feel so meaningful,” she says, on what she terms the ideal qualities in her romantic partner.
“I have a real mama bear instinct for looking after the people I love”
Kriti Sanon says that she has a mama bear instinct for her loved ones; stressing that she is protective of her near and dear ones.
“Maybe, five years from now, I will have bought a house for my parents.”
A wish that Kriti Sanon makes is to buy a house for her parents. “My mother’s deepest desire is to have chai in the garden every day”. She desires to buy that house for her parents where her mother can have her tea in its garden. Kriti also mentioned that she wants to win another award as her parents could not see her win this one live. “I didn’t end up taking them when I won the award because they weren’t in town,” she said. Kriti has been close to her parents and often shares her relationship with them and her sister, Nupur Sanon on her social media handle.
