Attending international fashion shows is becoming a trend among celebrities.
Among the stars leading the way and proudly representing the Philippines are Pia Wurtzbach, Heart Evangelista, Nadine Lustre, and Anne Curtis.
In the male category, Bryanboy and James Reid are regular fixtures at the glam events, with model and content creator LA Aguinaldo joining their ranks.
Over the past few years, LA has attended fashion shows abroad for prestigious luxury brands, such as Louis Vuitton, Hermès, and Kenzo.
LA, expressing thanks, said, “Everyday, I’m just really thankful na I get those opportunities.
“I get invited by big brands all over the world. And it really, for me, it means a lot kasi napapansin tayo not just in the fashion industry, but also, being from the Philippines.”
Continuing to share his experience, he told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “So, every time I’m in, let’s say, Paris or another destination, lagi kong dinadala na I’m really the Philippine representative…
“There’s such a big world in terms of fashion na sa Philippines na I get to bring with me when I go to all of these different places.
“So, nakaka-proud, at the same time, I really feel honored na ako yung napipili, ako yung na-invite.”
PEP.ph interviewed LA during the QuickFX Sens-C Bright launch on June 11, 2024, in Makati City.
LA AGUINALDO’S UNFORGETTABLE FASHION WEEK MOMENT
For LA, the other thrilling parts of fashion weeks, apart from the ramp shows, are meeting and exchanging tete-a-tete with internationally famous people, the likes of K-Pop sensation BamBam from GOT7, NBA player Kyle Kuzma, and Louis Vuitton Men’s Creative Director Pharrell Williams.
NOOD KA MUNA!
Tickled pink, was he?
LA admitted being thrilled to the bone by LeBron James during the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show in Paris, France, in June 2023.
He told PEP.ph, “I’m a big basketball fan. I play basketball. I love basketball. It’s probably LeBron James.
“Nung una ko siyang nakita sa Louis Vuitton Fashion Show sa Paris last year. It was like larger than life kasi sobrang tangkad niya.
“But I was really starstruck nun nung nakita ko si Lebron James kasi sobrang idol ko siya.”
LA then opened up about what those exhilarating moments had been for him.
He said, “Actually, almost every time I see these stars in real life, medyo na-i-starstruck ako.
“But also, in a way, I tell myself this is like a dream I’m living, so kailangan kong i-remember siya na I have to live in the moment.
“So, yun lang. Like, na-i-starstruck ako, but, at the same time, you have to remind yourself to live in the moment and actually just to enjoy your own company as well.”
LA AGUINALDO ON MEN’S SKINCARE
Besides discussing fashion, PEP also delved into skin care with LA.
The content creator expressed his appreciation for the rising number of men embracing skin care, breaking the outdated stereotype that it’s a feminine practice.
He said, “I think skin care for guys is very important kasi minsan nakakalimutan natin mag-take care ng skin natin.
“After let’s say we come from the gym, play basketball, pagdating sa bahay, we just wash our face with soap and water.
“But that should be not the case kasi our skin goes through a lot especially in like everyday stressful environment.
“So, it’s really important for me to take care of it, moisturize, serum, and really just clean the face with the right toners, with the right soaps.”
LA added, “We should not forget to really be more sensitive with our skin kasi we only have one skin our entire lives. So kailangan natin to take care of it.
“It’s not being feminine. It’s more of being much more in touch with… being more mindful of our skin-care regimen.
“So, di ba, pag healthy skin, healthy body. It just goes hand in hand.”
LA shared he’s been gaining new insights into skin care, and during the event, he discovered the important role of Vitamin C in skin health.
“I really learned about more on my skin and how sometimes you really need that dose of vitamin C everyday and to really just take care and help with the upkeep of our skin.”
