Lady Gaga Promises New Music After a Five-Year Break from Singing

Lady Gaga may finally be releasing new music after a five-year break.

The pop icon, born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, piqued her fans’ interest by possibly hinting at an impending musical effort.

The Born This Way hitmaker took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to give views from the recording studio.

In one photo, she posed in front of a microphone, wearing an oversized jumper and statement platform boots, with headphones on.

Another image depicted a guitar and a percussion instrument.

Gaga’s picture, captioned simply with a black heart emoji and musical notes emojis, stoked fan speculation that the 13-time Grammy winner might release a solo album soon.

“NEW MUSIC??” one admirer asked in the comments, while another wrote, “Oh she’s cooking.”

“You and Ariana in the same week! Rain. On. Me,” in reference to Ariana Grande’s recent announcement of her first solo single in three years, Yes, And?, which will be released this Friday.

Gaga has recently moved her concentration from singing to acting, with major parts in films like A Star is Born and House of Gucci.

She continues to broaden her career with her next part as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, a musical thriller sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning film Joker.
