Lady Gaga to Finally Perform ‘Hold My Hand’ at the Oscars

Lady Gaga evidently realized that the show must go on after gazing into the cold, waxy eyes of her newly uncovered Madame Tussauds double earlier this week, especially if she was nominated for Best Original Music. Many insiders had confirmed that Lady Gaga would perform “Hold My Hand” from Top Gun: Maverick at the 2023 Academy Awards, as reported by Variety just hours before the ceremony was scheduled to begin on Sunday. It was announced days ago that Gaga would not perform at the Oscars, saying she ran out of time to prepare a number due to her filming obligations for Joker: Folie à Deux. ABC News and Deadline promptly validated the Variety report, which the Academy did not comment on immediately. With the inclusion of Gaga, the whole list of candidates for the best song will now dazzle the Dolby Theatre audience throughout the ceremony.
