Lake Oswego artist merges science and art through sculptures


Lake Oswego resident Ian Madin’s work merges the seemingly separate mediums of art and science.

The longtime geologist accentuates the beauty of rock artifacts through shaping and polishing. His work will be on display at the Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Wild Arts Festival, which will be held Dec. 7-8 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
