FOND DU LAC – The exhibit “Beyond the Bounds: A gathering of personal artwork by art educators in the Fond du Lac School District” will be on display Jan. 3 through Feb. 6 at the Langdon Divers Community Gallery. It is located inside the south entrance of the Fond du Lac Public Library at 32 Sheboygan St.
This exhibition highlights the talents of the Visual Arts department of the Fond du Lac School District. An artist reception will be held 5:30 to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 in the gallery.

For those who want to create their own art, there are several craft programs planned for January at the library.
The Evening Craft Class will provide instructions and supplies to create Friendship Bracelets on Jan. 8. The class will meet at 6 p.m. in the McLane Room.
On Jan. 23, staff will lead “Super Simple Crafts” in the Idea Studio. The session begins at 10 a.m.

NEB employee Diana Nachtrab marks 25 years of service
Diana Nachtrab, of Fond du Lac, marked 25 years of service with National Exchange Bank & Trust on Dec. 21. She joined the bank in 1998 as a part of the account services team. In 2016 she was promoted to account services team lead for fraud and in 2021 she transferred to the team lead for imaging.
Earlier this year, Nachtrab was promoted to account services officer. She oversees the payments and recon and fraud support teams and plays an integral part of the account services leadership team in employee engagement, risk management and leading project teams.
Dr. Shawn Laibly joins SSM Health Fond du Lac
Board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist Dr. Shawn Laibly has joined SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic and is now seeing patients at the Fond du Lac Regional Clinic, 608 W. Brown St., Waupun, and SSM Health Physician Offices, 130 Corporate Drive, Beaver Dam.
Laibly joins Drs. Michelle Bahn-Palma and Karen Meyer, both SSM Health Fond du Lac Regional Clinic board-certified obstetricians/gynecologists.
A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Laibly completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Blodget/St. Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology. He is certified by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists/Minimally Invasive Surgery, and a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society.

County departments merge to become Human Services
Effective Jan. 1, Fond du Lac County Departments of Community Programs and Social Services will merge to become the Department of Human Services.
The service locations within these departments will not change with this merger:

Moraine Park celebrates graduates at winter commencement
Nearly 90 graduates participated in Moraine Park Technical College’s winter commencement ceremony, held at the Fond du Lac Campus Conference Center on Dec. 15. Almost 200 graduate candidates were eligible to receive their associate of applied science degrees and technical diplomas this winter.
Mailia Bachleitner, Moraine Park’s District student ambassador, was the student commencement speaker. She will graduate from Moraine Park’s IT Software Development program in spring 2024. Dr. Alan Patterson, founder and president of Mentoré, served as the keynote speaker.
Amanda Fryman, vice president of commercial loan operations for National Exchange Bank and Trust, served as the alumni speaker. Fryman graduated from Moraine Park’s Supervisory Management program in 2011.
Dr. Douglas Hamm, vice president of academic affairs, presided over the presentation of candidates with the conferring of degrees and diplomas done by Moraine Park President Bonnie Baerwald. Lane Holte, dean of General Studies; Barb Jascor, dean of Health and Human Services; and Dr. Bobbi Fields, dean of Applied Technology and Trades announced the graduate candidates.

The BEE Award recognizes staff members who demonstrate great teamwork and communication skills, collaboration, professionalism, exemplary service, and a commitment to excellence.
Red Cross donors have chance to win Super Bowl tickets
The holidays make it difficult for donors to have time to give blood or platelets, but donors are always needed. As an incentive to give, donors who give at an American Red Cross blood drive between Jan. 1 and 31, will be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.
