At Scotland’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend festival, Lewis Capaldi startled listeners by segueing from his song “Before You Go” into a quick acoustic performance of Taylor Swift’s “Love Story.”

The crowd joined in with gusto and sang along with the chorus.

Capaldi has previously sang a Taylor Swift song as a surprise guest at a concert featuring The 1975 in Newcastle, England, so this isn’t his first time doing so.

Capaldi has said he wants to work with Taylor Swift, and these shoutouts may be his way of getting her attention.

Capaldi was the main act at the event. He performed with The 1975, The Jonas Brothers, Raye, Anne-Marie, Jess Glynne, Mimi Webb, Zara Larsson, and Niall Horan. Horan and Capaldi have been friends for a long time, and Horan has always liked Capaldi’s songs.
