Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) — The Lexington Fire department is helping install car seats at Quantrell Subaru for anyone who needs to install a car seat for their little one, but wants to make sure it’s done right.

Firefighters were outside the car dealership from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Firefighter Shane Burger says it’s important to help with something like this and to make sure that parents have all of the information they need to keep their children safe.

“It does mean a lot to me that kids are safe out there on the roadways,” said Burger. “Because if those seats aren’t installed properly, those children aren’t installed properly in a wreck it could be devastating.”

Burger says they will continue the installations at Quantrell for a couple of more weeks.
