Lifelong Learning Center hosted Artificial Intelligence class

The Lifelong Learning Center is teaching people about artificial intelligence in today’s world. The introduction to artificial intelligence took place yesterday at the Lifelong Learning Center in Missoula. There is no specific age group for the class, but older participants are anticipated.

The point of the introduction to artificial intelligence class is to help the public out, so that people can understand it better or access it quicker. The teacher of the class, Darren Enos, said that the original focus of the introduction to AI wasn’t to educate Missoula’s older population. However, he’s changed the class around and know he makes sure that he highlights the benefits of AI in his lectures.

“A lot of people right now are worried about their jobs being replaced by AI and I think for a long time it’ll be people using AI to improve their jobs. So, giving people the upper edge in their workspace, but I’ve also noticed that like older populations, people that struggle with computers in general have an easier time getting information through AI than say google search,” said Enos.

Enos has seen his students come back into class already using the artifical intelligence in their everyday lives. The class sizes are generally small within the learning center. They see around 10 students in a classroom. The learning center does see an array of age groups though. They offer classes on Excel and on Quickbooks, to name a few. They like to stress the modern skills that they feel are important in today’s world.

This was the second introduction to artificial intelligence class that the learning center has done this year. It began at 1 pm and was 58 dollars to attend.
