Lil Nas X issued an apology on Tuesday for making a joke about trans-affirming surgery on social media and then getting angry when he was called out for it. According to the Daily News, it began when the celebrity, who is openly gay and has supported trans causes, tweeted a photo of a lady that resembled him with the message, “The operation was successful.” In response to objections from commenters, he tweeted, “y’all cannot be f—-ing serious” Later, though, the “Old Town Road” rapper had second thoughts and posted an apology: “apologies to the trans community.” I handled the problem with anger rather than considering why it was inappropriate. much love to you guys. sorry.”
