Ethan Slater is known for his role in the Broadway show SpongeBob SquarePants. His wife, Lili Jay, is said to be “devastated” by his relationship with singer Ariana Grande.

Sources close to Jay say that the new connection caught her off guard, and she found out about it just before the public did. The couple had a son in August 2022, and Jay is said to feel like Slater has “abandoned” their family.

A source told Us Weekly that Ethan told Lilly he wanted a divorce a few days before the news about him and Ariana got out. “Lilly never saw it coming!”

Jay is also said to be upset that their kid won’t always have both parents around, and he feels like Slater has “completely turned his back on his family.

Even worse, Jay feels “betrayed” because Grande spent time with her and Slater when they were still married.

But another person says Grande and Slater are trying to be nice to their ex-partners as they try to get back together.

It’s not clear when they started dating, but sources say it was “several months ago.”

Another person close to the Side to Side singer said that Grande and Slater “were separated when they started dating and the relationship is recent.”

The source also said that the new couple didn’t hesitate to kiss and hug each other on the set of their upcoming movie Wicked.

“Ariana and Ethan weren’t careful. They’d hold hands on set in between takes. They were sloppy and not hiding it.”
