For the fourth consecutive year, Lincoln Center will host its summer series beginning in June.

On Wednesday, the Upper West Side arts complex announced the programming for its “Summer for the City Returns,” which will include hundreds of dance, theater, and opera performances from June 11 through August 9.

“Summer for the City is a celebration of Lincoln Center’s founding promise to always enliven the city with arts for all New Yorkers,” said Shanta Thake, Ehrenkranz, chief artistic officer of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, in a news release. “We invite you to experience the inspiration and artistry of incredible performers from around the country and around the world.”

As customary, the majority of the Summer for the City events are offered for free, while select indoor performance will be choose-what-you-pay starting at $5. The choose-what-you-pay tickets will go on sale to Lincoln Center members on May 8, and then become available for the general public on May 15.

Some of the highlights for this year’s programming include the debut of the American Modern Opera Company at Lincoln Center with 12 productions over the course of the summer; Brazil Week from July 16 to 20; performances by the Festival Orchestra of Lincoln Center; and “Living Library: Celebrating 60 Years,” which will be a week-long series of events celebrating the 60th anniversary of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
