MIDLAND ― Things get a little freaky − a lot freaky, actually − at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center starting Nov. 10.
That’s when Midland’s performing arts mecca introduces its latest stage show, “Disney’s Freaky Friday The Musical: One Act Edition.”
The MainStage Theater production continues Nov. 11-12 and 17-19.
The all-ages comedic musical follows the story from the beloved 1972 novel and the two hit Disney films, where an extremely organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter magically swap bodies, and get just one day to put things right. Masquerading as each other, they must work together to solve the mystery of how to break the spell.
“We are thrilled to continue our Jr. Musical Series with such a classic and beloved story,” Justin Fortunato, producing artistic director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, said. “This heartwarming show emphasizes the power of compassion, immeasurable love and the bond of family − it’s the perfect musical to bring your loved ones to.”
Tickets cost $18 to $25, available by visiting LincolnParkArts.org or by calling the box office at 724-576-4644.
Lincoln Park will host a food truck beginning two hours before each show for audiences and community members to enjoy.
