LAKE CHARLES – Liz Kingham, a 2012 graduate of McNeese and a Cowgirl basketball alum, has been named the Director of Performance Nutrition for McNeese Athletics.
Kingham, who owns Pure Vida Natural Health Shop and Mobility Studio, will provide McNeese student-athletes performance and nutritional strategies. Having earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion, she received her Masters of Public Health with a concentration in nutrition from George Washington University in 2016.
A native of Grand Lake, Kingham brings five years of experience in working with athletes at the high school and collegiate levels as well as athletes from within Major League Baseball, the NFL and NBA.
“I’m really excited to add Liz and Pure Vida to our team,” said McNeese Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer. “Liz and her team will provide nutrition plans for our student-athletes as well as provide important vitamins and supplements that all of our athletes need daily.
“We have always been about our student-athletes and the experience they have while at McNeese. This is the next step in providing them with a first-class experience.”
“I am thrilled to join McNeese Athletics, where I’ll be focusing on enhancing our athletes’ performance through advanced nutrition and recovery strategies,” said Kingham. “Being a McNeese basketball alumni myself, it’s special for me to bring this type of role to our athletic department. Recognizing the pivotal role nutrition plays in performance, I am ready to contribute to the comprehensive well-being of our athletes. I look forward to being a part of the team and supporting our athletes in reaching their peak performance levels.”
Kingham served as the Cowgirl softball program’s nutrition coach for the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
