As the seasons wind toward winter, the color is fading from the outdoors, but there’s plenty inside the Firefly Coffeehouse, where the 14 South Artists annual show is on display into the new year.
14 South Artists, Inc. was formed in 2004 by a small group of artists living along the Hwy. 14 corridor seeking creative ways to network and collectively promote their independent work, according to the group’s website. A fall art tour of their dispersed studios and workshops became the annual showcase event.
Today, the group engages in a variety of art exhibits and events and has grown to more than 50 members, with many residing outside the original area into metro Madison and beyond.
“We are a dedicated group of passionate artists and art supporters in south-central Wisconsin who work to promote the visual arts through education, outreach, and art events,” read the group’s website.
