KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WCYB) — Wallace Nissan of Kingsport held their second annual first responders appreciation event today.

First responders were invited to the car dealership for a free lunch.

Barbecue by Phil’s Dream Pit was served to those who serve our community.

For dispatchers and other first responders that couldn’t make it to the dealership, to-go backs were provided for first responders in attendance to take back to them.

“I’ve spoken to a lot of them on the phone, a lot of them here and they’re very thankful for paying for people to say thank you and very grateful and once again we all need to say thank you to all of our first responders and all that they do to take care of us,” Wallace Nissan’s Van Avirett said.

The event will continue tomorrow.
