Patrick Schwarzenegger is engaged to be married to Abby Champion.

After eight years of dating, Schwarzenegger proposed to his long-term partner.

The happy couple announced their engagement in a shared Instagram post on Tuesday evening, sharing a photo of Champion saying “Yes.”

Schwarzenegger chose to propose on the beach, in front of an elaborate set-up featuring a gigantic rose heart.

They also posted a photo of themselves holding a white cake with their picture on it and the word “congratulations” written across it in black icing.

The caption read, “FOREVER AND EVER,” and included ring and heart emojis.

When the couple’s celebrity pals heard the news, they swarmed the comments area with well wishes and congratulations, including Taylor Lautner and Chelsea Handler.

Even Arnold Schwarzenegger’s mother, Maria Shriver, expressed her admiration for the couple’s inspirational love tale.

“Yippee bravo we are all so happy for you for your love for your now for your future your love is inspiring joy joy joy [red heart emoji]” she said with a smile.

Schwarzenegger, 30, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and Champion, 26, began dating in 2015 and made their relationship Instagram public in February 2016.
