Glamour: What inspired your journey in fashion? How did you get into modelling?

Nana: If you’ve ever wondered how good you might be in different disciplines and had the courage to pursue them, you know it takes confidence and a strong belief in your dreams. My journey in fashion began much like this—a blend of curiosity, passion, and the determination to explore a part of myself that I felt deeply connected to. As an engineer, I’ve always valued precision and structure, but I also harboured a deep passion for creative expression. Fashion offered me a way to explore this creativity and merge it with the disciplined approach I apply in my engineering career.

I ventured into modelling in a leap of faith, knowing that this was part of my dream and trusting that I had the ability to excel in a field that seemed different yet complementary to my technical background. Starting with international fashion shows and events, I found that I could excel in both arenas—modelling and engineering—by applying the same dedication and attention to detail. This journey has been a testament to pursuing multiple interests with courage and discovering that excelling in diverse fields is not only possible but also incredibly rewarding.

Glamour: Describe your wellness routine. What are three essentials you can’t live without?

Nana: My wellness routine integrates physical fitness, mindful practices, and balanced nutrition designed to keep me balanced and energized throughout my daily life. I regularly engage in physical activities, particularly brisk walking or jogging, to support fitness and flexibility. A diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, and adequate hydration supports my energy levels. For mental wellness, I practice mindfulness and meditation to manage stress and maintain mental clarity.

Among the essentials I can’t live without are a good pair of running shoes for my workouts, Hahaha! a high-quality water bottle to stay hydrated, and a planner to keep my schedule organized and manage my commitments effectively. These elements are key to maintaining my wellness and ensuring that I thrive in all aspects of life.

Glamour: You have walked on runways in Milan, Dubai, and West Africa. What has been the biggest highlight of your fashion career so far?

Nana: Each experience has been unique and memorable, but one that stands out as a pinnacle was walking in Milan Fashion Week. This moment was not just a personal achievement but a testament to the power of dreams and perseverance. Standing on such a prestigious international stage, showcasing incredible designs from top designers to a global audience, coupled with experiencing the vibrant fashion scene of Milan was incredibly fulfilling and a significant milestone. It symbolized the culmination of hard work, passion, and the courage to pursue my dreams across different continents. This opportunity reinforced my belief that with dedication and faith, we can reach new heights and inspire others along the way.

Nana: Looking your best every day is integral to wellness, as it deeply impacts both self-esteem and overall well-being. When you invest in your appearance, it’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about embracing self-respect and nurturing confidence. Feeling good about how you look can elevate your mood and empower you to face daily challenges with a positive mindset. It also communicates professionalism and self-assuredness, whether in personal interactions or professional settings. Ultimately, taking the time to present yourself well can be a powerful form of self-care, fostering a sense of accomplishment and enhancing your interactions with the world.

When you’re comfortable in your clothes, it radiates confidence.

This accolade has inspired me to continue refining my style, knowing that how I present myself can have a profound impact on how I am perceived and the opportunities that come my way. It serves as a daily reminder that attention to detail and self-care can open doors, enhance professional relationships, and contribute to my overall success.
