Lowe’s to offer free home repair workshops in Colorado Springs

One of life’s better feelings is fixing something in your house that a professional would have charged hundreds to do.

Lowe’s will debut free 15- to 20-minute home repair workshops at 100 store locations around the U.S. this winter. Through Jan. 24, the stores at 4252 Royal Pine Drive in Colorado Springs and 1360 New Beale St. in Castle Rock will offer sessions during store hours on Saturdays and Sundays. They are not held at specific times. The store is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.

Hands-on workshops include replacing a faucet, unclogging a toilet, patching and repairing drywall, and replacing outlets and switches. Attendees also receive a digital coupon book.

“These workshops are beginner-friendly and open to everyone,” said store manager Paul Davis.

“Customers who participate will learn how to care for different areas of their home and gain the confidence and DIY knowledge needed to help them save money on future costly repairs.”
