LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Police Department is trying to find a suspect after they said he got away from a chaotic scene early Wednesday morning.

ABC13 was at the scene of the incident on Fort Avenue, where police said they had been trying to arrest a suspect on outstanding warrants.

Police said the suspect took off in a car when they tried to take him into custody, but when he took off, he hit someone else’s car as well as a police vehicle.

LPD is still looking for the suspect. ABC13 is working to learn more information.
