The Machine Gun Kelly, a well-known Legend of Zelda lover, tempted his fans by disclosing his wish.
MGK stated his desire to play the lead in “The Legend of Zelda,” a live-action film based on the iconic video-game franchise.
The American rapper posted a screenshot of an article on his Instagram Story and expressed interest in starring in the film.
The 33-year-old captioned the photo, “If I don’t play Link we have a problem,” referring to the protagonist of the video-game series.
Kelly and his fiancée Megan Fox were spotted on Halloween night in Los Angeles last year dressed as Link and the series’ other protagonist, the titular Princess Zelda.
Wes Ball, known for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy and the upcoming film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, will helm The Legend of Zelda, which has published 19 titles since its original release in 1986.
The news of the film comes about seven months after Nintendo produced The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which grossed over $1 billion worldwide and is the year’s second-highest grossing picture in the United States and globally, after Barbie.
