During a party on Sept. 2, Jose Morales, 27, of 820 Park Ave., allegedly pointed a handgun in the face of a male victim while in the company of his girlfriend and their 5-year-old son, police allege.
The incident allegedly took place during a party near Williamsport Cemetery on Washington Boulevard on Sept. 29.
The victim told city police that a verbal altercation began, with Morales referring to the victim’s girlfriend in derogatory language and her calling her a liar, an affidavit said.
The confrontation escalated with Morales revealing the firearm and pistol whipping the victim with it, at which point the family fled through the Williamsport Cemetery, subsequently arriving at UPMC Williamsport for help from law enforcement, court documents state.
District Judge Aaron Biichle arraigned Morales on a harassment charge.
