PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — A man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a car in Pinellas Park, according to the Pinellas Park Police Department.

A man walked in front of a car driving west in the 7700 block of Park Boulevard at about 9 p.m., police said. The man was hit by the car and died from his injuries.

The driver of the car stayed at the location and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police. Investigators have not found any signs that speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.

Westbound lanes of Park Boulevard near 76th Street are expected to remain closed for several hours.

The crash remains under investigation.
