
BOUND BROOK, NJ — A man was hit by a car and died on Monday night on Route 28 in Bound Brook, said Bound Brook Police Chief Richard S. Colombaroni.
On Nov. 20 at around 6:10 p.m., Bound Brook Police went to the westbound lanes of Route 28 (West Union Ave) in front of Burger King for a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
Officers found a 66-year-old man from Plainfield in cardiac arrest, said Colombaroni.

Officers and Emergency Medical personnel initiated life-saving measures and the victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, said Colombaroni.

Patrol officers and detectives from the Bound Brook Police Department as well as the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team are conducting an investigation.
Units from JFK EMS, RWJUH EMS, Bound Brook EMS, Bound Brook Rescue Squad and the Bound Brook Fire Department helped at the scene.
