One man faces charges after a chase with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

Deputies tried to pull Lance Rogers over in Hixson Sunday morning around three, according to a report.

Those deputies noticed his license plate did not match his car.

Rogers ran from deputies in his car and then on foot, according to HCSO.

He ran behind a building and then into a creek where deputies finally caught up with him.

Deputies say Rogers also dropped a gun from his car as he ran.

A report says he was involved in a car theft several days ago.
