Man found guilty of reckless homicide for 2020 car crash

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A Peoria County jury found 32-year-old Adrian Gregory guilty of reckless homicide and aggravated reckless driving in connection with a deadly 2020 crash on Wednesday.

According to Peoria County States Attorney Jodi Hoos, on Nov. 20 2020 Gregory was driving more than 90 mph in a 35 mph zone when he crossed the center lane and crashed into another vehicle.

Gregory’s girlfriend, 35-year-old Aries Terrell was a passenger in the vehicle Gregory was driving. Peoria County Coroner reported that Terrell was ejected from the vehicle and suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries and most likely died instantly.
