
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Update: The Wichita Police Department provided further information on a south Wichita crash in which a car hit a pedestrian. Police said this happened about 6:38 p.m. on private property in the 4100 block of South Seneca, a little south of MacArthur and Seneca.
A little more than an hour after the crash, police said the critically injured man’s condition was improving at a local hospital and the investigation continued as officers work to determine what led up to the crash.
A WPD lieutenant at the scene said the car’s driver was cooperating with investigators. That driver was not injured and there were no signs of impairment, the lieutenant said.
A person hit by a vehicle Tuesday evening in south Wichita suffered critical injuries. The crash happened a little after 6:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of South Seneca, just south of West MacArthur Road and South Seneca Street.
Drivers should avoid the area as investigators work to piece together what led up to the crash.
