A man was killed in Monday when the car he was driving crashed head-on into a wall in Lowell, according to reports.
The crash happened on Route 110 between the Hunts Falls Rotary and a Lowell wastewater treatment facility, according to Lowell police. The crash closed the roadway in both directions for hours Monday afternoon.
The crash happened around noon and involved no other cars, The Lowell Sun reported. The driver was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.

The car went up in flames following the crash, WBZ-TV reported.
No further information about the crash, including the victim’s identity, has been released.
