Officers could smell bleach as they entered the home, according to the complaint. Work scrubs belonging to the accuser were destroyed by the substance, Heath wrote.

An empty bottle was located by investigators as they spoke with the victim, according to Heath’s report. Heath claimed the accuser struggled to keep her swollen eyes open during the interview.

Harris is charged with third-degree misdemeanor simple assault. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in January.

His bail was initially set at $50,000 monetary by Judge Aaron Biichle. It was changed to unsecured on Dec. 19 and Harris was released from custody.

Harris was allegedly involved in a breaking and entering incident in 2022. He was charged with criminal trespassing, simple assault, and harassment.

He is scheduled to plead guilty to those charges at the end of the month.
