With Ruben Amorim now in charge, Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United could begin to take shape during the 2024-25 season. Despite the managerial change, transfer rumors continue to circulate.
In October, TEAMtalk reported that Paris Saint-Germain have rekindled their interest in Rashford. While the same challenges that blocked a summer transfer remain, the Ligue 1 club may revisit the pursuit next year.
The same outlet also noted that PSG manager Luis Enrique is a big admirer of Rashford and believes he can help the forward return to his best form.
Another reason why Man Utd are keen on selling Marcus Rashford
The Telegraph (h/t Diario AS) has investigated further the reasons why Manchester United remains open to selling Marcus Rashford. At Old Trafford, there are doubts about the striker’s lifestyle, and they believe he is no longer as focused on football as he once was.
Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg recently reported that the Red Devils are considering selling Rashford, potentially as soon as the winter transfer window, with a final decision expected by the summer.
While the club acknowledges his progress under Amorim, they don’t see him as untouchable. A key factor in this decision is his high salary. Allowing Rashford to leave would help ease Financial Fair Play restrictions, giving Manchester United more flexibility in the transfer market.
Rashford is under contract until 2028 and Transfermarkt puts his value at €60 million. The 27-year-old has scored seven goals and recorded three assists in 23 matches across all competitions.
