Margot Robbie Eventually Swaps ‘Barbie’ for Black Attire in 2024

Margot Robbie ditched her Barbie attire for the new year in favor of a full-length black gown.

The 33-year-old actress wore a brown suit to a photo shoot for Variety magazine.

Barbie has nine nominations at the Golden Globes on Sunday.

“When we finished the press tour, I was like, ‘I guess I’ll throw all the pink out of my wardrobe now,’” Margot told the magazine.

“But the fact that we’re going to the Golden Globes and all that stuff? I truly did not see that coming. I’m not trying to be modest,” she continued.

Barbie has received 11 Academy Award nominations, making it the second most-nominated film in Academy history, after only Cabaret from 1972 and Nashville from 1975.

Ryan Gosling, who played Margot’s boyfriend Ken, is competing for Best Supporting Actor, and Margot is vying for Best Actress (Musical or Comedy).

Margot will compete in her category alongside Jennifer Lawrence’s No Hard Feelings, Natalie Portman’s May December, and Emma Stone’s dark comedy Poor Things, so she will face stiff competition.
