Marquette Arts and Culture hosts Art Week Brainstorming and Planning Meetings

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – The City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture is working to make sure its final Art Week goes off without a hitch.

The office hosted Art Week Brainstorming and Planning Meetings on Tuesday. The informal sessions were a chance for artists to connect with each other to explore project ideas, find inspiration, and provide some feedback to Art Week organizers.

One organizer says the sessions are a little earlier than usual this year to give people more time to work on their projects.

“We have our application process open through the first week of March,” said City of Marquette Arts and Senior Services Coordinator Tristan Luoma. “Hopefully having these sessions early gives people enough inspiration and enough time to kind of flesh out their ideas a little more and reach back out to us with any questions, then be able to work on that throughout the month.”

Luoma also says you can reach out to him if you have any questions, ideas, or comments about Art Week. You can reach him at (906) 225-8655 or [email protected].
