
Maryland Public Television (MPT) today announced the appointment of Meghan Guerrero Honesto as managing director, Partnership Development, at the statewide public TV network.
An employee of the MPT Foundation, Inc. – MPT’s 501(c)(3) fundraising affiliate– Guerrero Honesto is tasked with building and maintaining relationships with institutional funders to garner financial support for MPT original programs. She also collaborates with internal teams to ensure alignment of sponsorship initiatives, manages proposals for production funding, and evaluates the effectiveness of campaigns to foster long-term partnerships.
Guerrero Honesto began working with MPT in 2024 as a production funding consultant. In that role, her responsibilities included identifying and cultivating relationships with prospective corporate sponsors and foundation partners while developing new and tailored strategies to convert them into funders of original programming. She also cultivated comprehensive sponsorship packages utilizing MPT’s on-air and digital platforms.
With more than 18 years of experience, Guerrero Honesto has worked on award-winning creative and sales teams at organizations including WTOP Radio, National Geographic Channel, and Travel Channel. She previously worked as a senior account executive at ADG Creative, where she was responsible for advising clients on marketing strategies and provided guidance to support the development of marketing solutions, including branding, digital, print, video, and content creation and campaigns.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in theater arts from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Guerrero Honesto currently serves as a commissioner on the Anne Arundel Commission for Women.
She resides in Anne Arundel County with her husband and children.
