Enrique Iglesias, the Spanish sensation, has reportedly closed a deal worth ‘nine figures,’ selling his illustrious music catalog to the prestigious music rights platform, Influence Media Partners.
Enrique, who just declared his retirement from album recording, formalized this collaboration, which includes not only his music but also his ‘name, image, and likeness,’ as well as potential ‘future licensing opportunities.’
While the agreement includes Iglesias’ masters from Universal and numerous independent labels, it specifically excludes his 2021 Sony album and any future releases.
The father-of-three acknowledged his excitement at the collaboration in a statement, saying, “My songs hold immense significance for both my fans and me. I’m excited to be working with the Influence Media team.
I feel confident we will build an enduring partnership for my music and future projects.”
Lylette Pizarro, Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Influence Media, described Enrique Iglesias as a ‘global icon,’ calling his inclusion in the ‘Influence Media family’ a ‘game-changing moment’ for the company.
Recognizing Iglesias’ crucial role in popularizing multilingual music, Pizarro referred to him as one of the “most recognizable figures in modern music” and emphasized his Grammy-winning status.
