Matt Leblanc’s First Public Appearance After Matthew Perry’s Death Finds Him in a Gloomy Mood

Matt LeBlanc was spotted for the first time since his Friends co-star and long-time friend Matthew Perry died in a car accident.

On Wednesday afternoon, LeBlanc was observed enjoying a solo drive around Sherman Oaks, his first public appearance since Perry’s unexpected death last weekend at the age of 54 from apparent drowning.

Page Six received photos of LeBlanc in a bad mood as he drove around the posh Los Angeles area in his black Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.

On the iconic 90s sitcom, the actor who played Perry’s roommate and best buddy sought to hide his face behind black sunglasses and a baseball cap.

For the show’s 10-season run from 1994 to 2004, Perry played the sardonic and clever Chandler Bing, and LeBlanc played the lovable playboy Joey Tribbiani.

The famed friendship between the hilarious duo on the show spilled over into real life, however the positions were flipped off-screen, with LeBlanc viewing and treating Perry as his “little brother,” according to a 2015 People Magazine interview.

In fact, the whole Friends ensemble treated Perry like family, saying in a joint statement to People on Monday that they were “all so utterly devastated” by his death.

“We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, David Schwimmer, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc paid tribute to their late buddy of three decades.
