Actor Matthew Perry was found dead on Saturday at a home in the Los Angeles area from an apparent drowning, according to TMZ. First-responders reportedly recovered his lifeless body from a jacuzzi within the residence.
They were responding to a call for cardiac arrest, TMZ reports. As of this publication, there are no further details regarding exactly where on the premises the jacuzzi was located.
TMZ reports there were “no drugs found at the scene” and that “no foul play” is suspected at the moment.

Matthew Perry was 54 years old
Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on ’90s sitcom “Friends,” was only 54 years of age.
His onscreen character was a fan-favorite, but Perry previously opened up about how he battled addiction to drugs and alcohol during that time. The actor worried fans about a year ago due to his appearance on the show’s reunion.
He was addicted to Vicodin for years and was in and out of rehab while appearing on all 236 episodes of “Friends” throughout a 10-year span.
Perry, who never got married, was engaged to Molly Hurwitz a couple years ago before breaking it off six months later.
