Taylor Swift, the singing sensation, has been accused of penning a spy thriller during her historic Eras Tour.
Fans of the ‘Anti-Hero’ hitmaker have speculated that the popstar is the mystery author who wrote Argylle, an espionage thriller being adapted into a film starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Dua Lipa, and Henry Cavill.
Matthew Vaughn, the film director, rejected reports that the hitmaker found time between her Eras tour and watching lover Travis Kelce’s games to write a novel, but he did acknowledge she indirectly inspired the next film.
“There is a real book, and it’s a really good book.” “And there is an Elly Conway who wrote the book, but it is not Taylor Swift,” he clarified in a new Rolling Stone interview.
‘I did read the conspiracies and I was like, wow, they don’t leave a stone unturned! But it’s not Taylor Swift. She definitely didn’t write the book.’
‘AAnd I say that because I imagine Taylor Swift has a load of people trying to jump on her bandwagon left, right, and center, and I don’t want to be a part of that club.’
Matthew explained that the cat appears in the film because his family purchased it after being inspired by Taylor’s pets. The filmaker clarified that they had previously engaged another cat actor, but he did not work out, so he asked his daughter if he could borrow her cat, Chip, for the role.
