Jonathan Majors went to a court hearing in New York City on Tuesday with his girlfriend, Meagan Good. The hearing was in Manhattan Criminal Court. On Tuesday morning, the couple was seen holding hands as they went to and from court with Majors’ legal team.

In a dark brown suit, the actor who plays Loki said “good morning” to the judge and agreed with her that he would attend the start of his trial in August at Manhattan Criminal Court.

Since his last court date on May 9, Jonathan Majors’ position in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Hollywood in general has been unclear.

During this time, though, he started dating Shazam! actor Meagan Good, 41, who he had known as a friend.

“Meagan has shown considerable support towards him,” a person close to the situation told PEOPLE. “It seems their relationship has developed further from that point.”

On Tuesday, the actor’s lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, said in a statement, “Within a few weeks of these false allegations, we provided the District Attorney with evidence of Mr. Majors’ innocence. Last week, we delivered additional compelling evidence to the District Attorney. Following this, we strongly requested the District Attorney dismiss all charges against Mr. Majors immediately. We’ve requested a trial date ASAP.”

Majors is back in court on Thursday, August 3, and his case will proceed.
