University of Mount Union: The Department of Performing Arts at the University of Mount Union presented “A Christmas Carol” Nov. 16-19 in the Gallaher Black Box Theatre in the Giese Center for the Performing Arts. The Christmas Carol adaptation was written by and will be directed by Kevin P. Kern, associate professor of theatre.

Baldwin Wallace University: Alyssa Guzman of Brunswick was inducted into Baldwin Wallace University’s Epsilon Nu Chapter of the National Communication Association’s acclaimed Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society in the spring 2023 semester. Guzman, a graduate of North Royalton High School majoring in public relations, shared the honor with 19 other students. Society membership is extended to students who have at least a 3.25 GPA in their communication major(s), a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, a rank in the top 35% of their class in general scholarship, and good academic and behavioral standing.

Rachel Yerich of Brunswick was inducted into BW’s Beta Upsilon Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society during the spring semester. Members are selected from the highest 20% of eligible adult students who have a minimum 3.2 GPA, 24 graded hours at Baldwin Wallace and are enrolled in their first undergraduate degree program. Yerich, a biology major, shared the honor with nine other students.

Bowling Green State University: Students who earned dean’s list honors for the summer semester included Dominik Twarowski of Brunswick; Alexander Bunn and Robert Roup of Medina.

Summer BGSU graduates and their degrees include Brunswick residents Carrie Kavulic, graduate reading endorsement certificate and Dominik Twarowski, bachelor of science in education; Medina residents, Sara Lucak, master of science in criminal justice; Emma Wenger, bachelor of science in communication disorders; and Alexander Bunn, James McKinnon and Erin Wojciak, all with bachelor of science in education degrees.
