A poll says that Meghan Markle, who is married to Prince Harry, is in trouble because her fame in the UK has hit an all-time low since Spotify turned her down.
Around seven out of ten Britons don’t like the Duchess of Sussex, who is apparently having trouble getting a new business deal after being fired by the big audio streaming company.
Meghan didn’t seem to be able to win over Britons, as the latest poll gives the former Suits star her lowest score since YouGov started keeping track of her popularity in 2017.
The pollster’s most recent study of 2,014 people found that 68 percent of them don’t like the Duchess, and only 21 percent like her.
While King Charles’s younger son Prince Harry’s popularity went from -34 percent in April to -36 percent in May, which is a small drop of 2%.
Since January, when he released his shocking book Spare, the Duke of Sussex’s popularity seems to have gone up a little bit. During the first month of 2023, the number of people who liked Harry fell to -44%.
Princess Anne, the only child of Queen Elizabeth III, was voted the most popular member of the Royal Family, with a net favorability of 60%.
After his mother died last September, the new King’s popularity dropped to 32%, but it went back up to 48% when he took the throne. Queen Camilla didn’t get to share in the glory of the Coronation, so her net favorability dropped by 5 points to 4 percent.
Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Prince and Princess of Wales, have seen a small rise in approval, with a net favorability of 57% for Prince William and 59% for Kate Middleton.
YouGov also found something interesting: the institution of the monarchy as a whole has gone up from 19% in April, before the Coronation, to 25% now.
