Miami, US, Feb 22 (EFE).- The 2024 edition of ‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ began on Thursday with Latin music stars flaunting a blend of haute couture and Latin design on a vibrant magenta carpet.

The night saw a dominance of black hues, metallics, and original creations with varying degrees of success, splashing the traditional evening gowns with unique touches.

Among the best-dressed were Colombian singer Camilo and his wife, Evaluna Montaner, elegantly attired in black and white. The Venezuelan artist’s mermaid-cut outfit accentuated her baby bump, serving as the focal point of her ensemble.

Natti Natasha and Gloria Trevi, wearing Yves Saint Laurent and Valdrin Sahiti, respectively, were equally stunning.

RBD nominees Christopher Uckerman and Christian Chavez opted for matching black ensembles, creatively redefining the tuxedo silhouette.

However, Anitta and Tini from South America arrived in contrasting outfits. Anitta flaunted a sexy black dress with cut-outs and transparent plastic architectural elements, while Tini impressed in a fresh haircut and a gold dress.

Mexican Karina Banda, one of the hosts of the new Univision program Desiguales, also made a statement with her outfit designed by Argentine fashion designer Gustavo Cadile.

Actress Barbara de Regil, known for her roles in “La Lola” and “Pacto de Sangre,”

donned a green dress with chiffon applications and beads.

Ana Barbara, one of the night’s honorees, caught attention in a black dress with blue sculptural elements.

Young performers like Joaquina and Gale showcased sophisticated black designs reminiscent of vintage Hollywood, with Joaquina winning the Newcomer Award.

Mexican Angela Aguilar walked the carpet in a white dress with black straps, while emerging singer-songwriter Isadora Figueroa donned a dress fusing a hard gold-colored corset with a sober black skirt.

The men also stood out with their designers with Regional Mexican artists bringing vibrant colors to the carpet, wearing classic outfits with fancy rhinestones, mixed materials, and cowboy hats.

Don Omar, recipient of the Global Icon award, exuded elegance in a black suit and shirt with a bow tie. Pepe Aguilar’s classy black suit was complemented by the vibrant catrina by his side, symbolizing the theme of his upcoming “Jaripeo to the Bones” tour.

The 36th anniversary of ‘Premio Lo Nuestro’ took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, home of the Miami Heat basketball team. EFE
