CHAMPAIGN, ILL. – The Ottawa University men’s basketball team fell 116-65 to no. 25 Illinois on Friday night the State Farm Center in an exhibition contest.
Illinois opened the game on a 19-4 run. Ottawa chipped away at the Illini lead and cut the deficit to 10 points, 25-15, on a 3-pt play by Kamren Woods with 11:39 to go in the first half. Illinois’ offense exploded for 34 points in the final 11 minutes of the half, taking a 59-30 lead into the locker room.
The Illini continued its hot shooting in the second half, 53.7 percent. Ottawa was not able to rally and Illinois took the 116-65 victory.

- Kamren Woods came off the bench to lead the Braves in scoring with 14 points. He was 6-for-9 from the floor and had four rebounds.
