Men’s Basketball Hosts Tulane on Sunday

BRONX, N.Y. –  The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023-2024 season, Fordham’s 121st varsity season, by hosting the Tulane University Green Wave the historic Rose Hill Gym on Sunday, December 3, at 1:00 p.m.
 
Join the Ramses Challenge, a philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each rebound, offensive rebound, steal, or assist. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the men’s basketball program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to men’s basketball.
 
The game will be broadcast live on SNY and streamed on ESPN+ with Mike Watts (PxP), Andrew Bogusch (analyst), and Maria Trivelpiece (sidelines) announcing as well as broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and on the WFUV Sports YouTube page with Miles Grossman (PxP) and Colin Loughran (analyst) behind the mics.
 
Fordham enters the game with a 4-3 record and is coming off an 80-52 win over FDU in the Rose Hill Gym on Thursday night while Tulane is 5-1 on the season after a 98-77 win over Prairie View A&M in New Orleans on Wednesday night.
 
Sunday afternoon’s contest will be the fourth meeting between Fordham and Tulane on the hardwood. The Green Wave lead the all-time series, 2-1, but Fordham took last year’s meeting, 95-90, in New Orleans on December 3 behind 23 points from Darius Quisenberry and 20 points and ten rebounds from Khalid Moore.

• Senior guard Japhet Medor leads Fordham in scoring (13.4 ppg) and assists (3.1/game) while sophomore forward Joshua Rivera is second in scoring (10.9) and rebounding (5.4).
 
• Senior guard Kyle Rose has 164 career steals, tenth all-time at Fordham.
 
• Senior forward Abdou Tsimbila has nine blocks in six games (1.5/game), eighth in the Atlantic 10.
 
• After averaging 2.7 ppg and 2.0 rpg last year, sophomore forward Elijah Gray is averaging 8.6 ppg and 4.7 rpg through the first seven games this year.
 
• The Rams have recorded a double figure steals total in each of the past three games, including a season-high 18 against FDU on Thursday.
 
• The Rams did not lose any student-athletes to the transfer portal from 2022-23.
 
• The Rams continue the 2023-24 season by hosting the NJIT Highlanders in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m.
